This year. on the 24th of October, thousands of Rotary clubs around the world held events to commemorate the birth of Dr. Jonas Salk who developed the first vaccine for poliomyelitis.
Led under the auspices of Rosemarie Floyd, Revolutionary Solutions, LLC, a raffle was held to benefit World Polio Day. Members of the Rotary Club of Alexandria Central and Ms. Floyd, presented the funds at City Hall at 7pm during the proclamation ceremony.
